We are Strepsils Philippines. And we believe that life should not be interrupted or limited by respiratory conditions. That’s why our scientists have been at the forefront of respiratory health for over 60 years.

We know that even minor ailments cause more than physical pain or discomfort. If we don't feel 100%, we can't give 100% to the people around us or the things we do. That’s why Strepsils continuously innovates to minimize the impact of respiratory conditions and is committed to empowering healthcare professionals and patients with access to the most appropriate treatment solutions, every time. Effective solutions which help safeguard against the inappropriate use of antibiotics, which are ineffective in 8 out of 10 respiratory conditions and whose overuse contributes to the rise of drug-resistant superbugs.

We are on a mission to ensure everyone has access to better respiratory health. And we will fight to preserve the power of antibiotics for future generations by partnering with health care professionals to help stop their inappropriate use today. In this way, we will contribute to making the world a healthier and happier place. So that life can go on without limits.

Strepsils Philippines and its commitment to fight antibiotic overuse

Most sore throats (8 out of 10)1 are caused by viruses, however antibiotics are often used unnecessarily to treat them. Antibiotics are not only ineffective against viruses, but their inappropriate use can also lead to the development of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is one of the biggest global health threats declared by WHO.

Recognising this threat, in 2012 Reckitt established GRIP - Global Respiratory Infection Partnership – with the commitment to promote rational antibiotic use and an evidence-based pro-symptomatic approach to the management of respiratory tract infections.

At Strepsils, we believe our role is to help drive education and awareness on the importance of AMR, and to champion the use of appropriate treatments for everyday respiratory conditions, and by doing so, preserve antibiotics for future generations.
